Innovating democracy.
Digitalizing the future.
The Center for Democratic Innovation and Digitalization (CIDD) is an interdisciplinary research center of the University of Oradea. We study how digital technologies are transforming the relationship between citizens and institutions, public communication and democratic governance.

About CIDD
Research excellence and academic training
Technology is redefining political participation and the ways in which citizens engage in public life. CIDD critically examines emerging risks, such as information manipulation and the erosion of trust in institutions, and explores the opportunities that digitalization offers for good governance.
Our mission is twofold: we develop evidence-based solutions and we help train the next generation of researchers. CIDD supports the Doctoral School in Political Science through the expertise of its members, its affiliated doctoral supervisors and doctoral students’ access to research infrastructure.
