What data we process and why
- Contact and collaboration proposal forms: full name, e-mail address, institution or organisation, country (optional) and the content of your message. We use them solely to reply to your request and, where relevant, to discuss the proposed collaboration. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by ticking the box in the form.
- Technical data: the server hosting the website automatically records, in technical logs, data such as your IP address, the date and time of access and your browser type. These are used for the operation and security of the website, in the performance of the university’s task carried out in the public interest (Art. 6(1)(e) GDPR).
- Anti-spam protection: to limit abusive form submissions, we temporarily keep (for up to 15 minutes) a cryptographic value derived from your IP address, without storing the IP address itself.
The website does not use traffic analytics, marketing cookies or advertising services. Fonts are hosted on our own server and are not loaded from third parties.
Who has access to the data
Messages sent through the forms are accessible only to designated CIDD staff and are forwarded to the center’s institutional e-mail address. The website is hosted on University of Oradea infrastructure. We do not transfer data outside the European Economic Area and we do not sell or rent it to third parties.
How long we keep the data
Messages received through the forms are kept for no more than 2 years after the last correspondence, unless they lead to a formal collaboration, in which case the university’s archiving rules apply. Technical logs are kept in line with the university’s security policies.
